If you’ve spent any time around a SACMI SR 12, you know the struggle. In the world of high-speed PET blowing, every second counts. We got tired of that wait, so we built a replacement lamp that actually keeps up. Heat where it matters The SR 12 moves fast. To match that pace, we focused on “thermal density.” In plain English? We tweaked the filament geometry so the lamp doesn’t waste time warming up. The result is a much sharper heat curve. Instead of a slow climb, you get full infrared output almost the moment the power kicks in. This means you won’t end up with under-heated preform bases while you’re trying to ramp up production. It just works. Built for the shake Rotary ovens are brutal. The heat is intense, and the vibration is constant. To stop the tubes from warping, we used heavy-wall fused quartz. But we didn’t stop there. We tightened the tolerances on the end caps because we’ve seen too many lamps burn out early due to arcing at the terminals. These are drop-in replacements for the original SACMI footprint, so they snap right in and stay secure, even when the machine is humming at full tilt. A quick word of caution Here’s the honest part: these lamps are high-intensity. They’re designed for speed and power, which puts more stress on the filament than a low-wattage bulb would. If your voltage regulators are off, you’ll burn through these faster than you’d like. Do yourself a favor and double-check your power supply stability. Avoid those voltage spikes, and your lamps will last a lot longer.
