We built this fast-response, gold-coated heat lamp for the kind of industrial baking lines where every second counts. Because when your cycle time is the whole game, you can’t afford to wait around for heat. The point is simple: get the heat into the product—fast. No long warm-up. Just go. And when you can do that, you keep the line moving and hit those tight takt times without sweating it.
The power behind the speed: power, voltage, and size
This lamp was designed around a shortwave infrared halogen element. It delivers a lot of heat in a small space, and it responds quickly—exactly what a high-speed baking line demands. It runs on 400V, which helps push more power over longer stretches without pulling as much current on the line. That means less voltage drop and power that stays steady, even as the conveyor keeps rolling. The tube is 300mm long, so it’s compact. Heat gets focused right where it needs to be: on the product path. No extra fuss, no over-engineered footprint in the oven bay. And the wattage? It’s matched to the kind of heat load that makes rapid surface drying and curing possible. The lamp hits target temperature fast—and recovers fast between cycles.
What it’s made of—and why it matters
The envelope is quartz, built to handle high heat and resist thermal shock. In practice, that means it can take repeated start-stop cycles without cracking. If your line runs, stops, and runs again, this lamp doesn’t get brittle on you. That gold coating isn’t for looks. It reflects infrared energy back toward the product, so you get tighter, more directional heating. Less heat gets wasted into the oven air, which helps keep ambient temperatures from climbing. For the shop floor, we went with an R7s connector. It’s straightforward, secure, and it makes wiring into what you already have a no-brainer. Installation is basically a drop-in replacement. When maintenance day comes, you swap the lamp and get back to work—no rewiring, no redesigning the fixture.
What it does for your baking line
