Inside, it’s a quartz envelope with a tungsten filament, tuned for fast response and repeatable output in the heating tunnel. Typical ratings are 1200–1500 W at 230 V, in a compact package that matches the HyPET lamp holder and wiring. The R7s base and terminal orientation are a straight 1:1 swap with the original, so you don’t have to rewire the heating bank or re-map the reflector geometry. In practice, that means less setup drift after replacement and a quicker return to the target temperature curve across the preform neck and body.
