Let’s talk about what makes it tick
We chose a 400V halogen infrared heater because it simply punches harder. You get more heat per amp, which means you can use smaller wiring and lose less energy along the way. Then we packed 2500W of power into a 300mm tube. That concentrates the heat into a tight zone, so you get serious intensity without having to overhaul your whole system. It’s fast. Really fast. But that kind of heat means you have to plan for it—your machine’s cooling and mounting need to be ready for the temperature.
The guts that keep it running
The tube is made from quartz glass, so it can handle the shock of heating up and cooling down quickly, over and over. The halogen cycle keeps the filament stable, so the output stays consistent over time. Wiring is straightforward too. The R7s connector is a simple two-pin setup, so swapping out a tube is a drop-in job. No fuss. And a reflective coating on the tube pushes the heat forward where you need it, so you’re not wasting energy on the parts around it.
Where it shines in the real world
This setup is made for jobs that need quick, pinpoint heat. Think plastic forming, sealing, or focused drying. You get a warm-up that feels almost instant, lower energy use per cycle, and a clean, tidy footprint in your machine. Now, the trade-off is real. That much power in a small space means you have to manage the heat carefully and match the voltage correctly. If you don’t, you can shorten the life of the heater and end up with unstable control.
